Robert Vadra says he shut companies but not because of land deals Read more at: http://indiatoday.intoday.in/story/robert-vadra-denies-winding-up-offices-in-haryana-and-rajasthan/1/399699.html

Robert Vadra, Congress chief Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law, denied that he had shut down six companies in Haryana and Rajasthan in view of investigations into alleged land deals done by  these companies in the two states.
Robert Vadra's advocate issued this notice in reaction to reports that Vadra had shut down these companies - Lifeline Agrotech Private Limited, Greenwave Agro Private Limited, Rightline Agriculture Private Limited, Future Infra Agro Private Limited, Best Seasons Agro Private Limited and Primetime Agro Private Limited - in view of alleged land deals done by these companies.
The notice read that the private companies (that have shut down) and our Client is well within his right to close these companies lawfully.

"Please note that the six companies referred to in your article namely Lifeline Agrotech Private Limited, Greenwave Agro Private Limited, Rightline Agriculture Private Limited, Future Infra Agro Private Limited, Best Seasons Agro Private Limited and Primetime Agro Private Limited have been closed or are in the process of closing because these companies have not done any business whatsoever. These are private companies and our Client is well within his right to close these companies lawfully," it said.
"Since none of these six companies ever transacted any business, there is no question of any of these six companies having ever recorded any profit. Since none of these companies have done any business, there is no question of having ever acquired any property in Rajasthan or Haryana," it added.
Days after the newly-elected BJP government in Haryana said that Robert Vadra's alleged illegal land deals will be investigated, reports on Thursday said the son-in-law of Congress president Sonia Gandhi has begun to wind up his businesses in Haryana and Rajasthan.
