Is Shah Rukh Khan trying to steal Aamir Khan’s thunder?

The two superstars have been going head on with each other year after year, but have never spoken about working together. So what happened suddenly? Read on to find out…

Shah Rukh Khan celebrated his 49th birthday recently and he opened up about his life and wishes for the forthcoming year. When asked about whether he would like to do a Dhoom series film, as Aamir Khan’s last installment did tremendous business, he became very frank and said that he would love to do a Dhoom film as and when it is offered. He also opened up about working with Aamir if the script was good and if the director was willing to stand questions like ‘how did you manage to get the two together’ and ‘did Shah Rukh chop off Aamir’s scenes’ etc.

Now if we go back in history the two stars have never expressed a desire to work with each other. They have, however, always maintained cordial relationship with each other but have never been open about working with each other in the same project. Now with Dhoom:3 doing tremendous business last year and Aamir still in talks with YRF for the next installment of Dhoom, it seems SRK just wants to steal the thunder from Aamir.

Recently, Aamir released the PK promo just a day before Happy New Year‘s release. In a way Aamir did try to steal into King Khan’s Diwali thunder, but he wasn’t able to do so as people didn’t go all out praising the promo. Audiences did love the promo but it was quite intellectual and didn’t reveal much about the film. Obviously, this didn’t go too well with the audiences.

Now wethinks by talking so highly about Aamir, Shah Rukh is trying to eat into the remaining buzz of PK and with so much talks about Dhoom’s next installment, SRK might just eat up into Aamir’s. Now it will be great if both the superstars are able to share screenspace in the next Dhoom series. What do you think BollywoodLifers?
