Ali Quli Mirza landed in trouble last week when he touched Sonali Raut under the blanket. It so happened that Sonali was hanging out with Upen Patel under a blanket after the lights had gone out for the day. Ali was also present and teasing the duo. It is while this masti-mazaak, Ali touched Sonali’s knee. This obviously didn’t go down too well with Sonali, who accused Ali of being inappropriate as they weren’t even close friends. All the housemates stood up against Ali post this shameful incident. Even Bigg Boss took a strict action by taking away Ali’s captaincy and directly nominating him for next week’s elimination.

Many media outlets, including us admired Sonali and the makers of the high voltage reality show for showing that touching a woman without consent is not cool at all. However, this week we were left highly disappointed when host Salman Khan and Parineeti Chopra played a not-so-funny prank on Ali.
Parineeti, along with her Kill Dil co-stars, Ranveer Singh and Ali Zafar, entered the glass walled house to promote their film. After playing some games, they all decided to dance some Govinda numbers as he stars in the movie as well. Suddenly, we saw Parineeti accusing Ali of touching her inappropriately. Ali responded by saying that Parineet is like her family and he woudn’t do such a shameful thing with her.
But Parineeti was not in a mood to listen anything and proceeded to the confession room from where she quickly exited the show with her co-stars, leaving all the contestants confused.
The Kill Dil actors then joined Salman and Govinda on stage where the Kick actor was saying how disappointment he was of Ali’s behaviour with the women of the house, especially a guest. We were biting our nails thinking as to what will happen next until Salman and Parineeti started giggling at the prank they played on Ali.
This prank got backfired as viewers and we were disappointed by the makers of the show for making a joke out of an issue as serious as sexual harassment. And considering how feminist Parineeti is, we weren’t expecting her to participate in a prank like this.
Moreover, after last week’s incident between Sonali and Ali, which was real and handled relatively well, we weren’t expecting the makers either to resort to such tactics to gain some TRPs.
